In my future classroom I will be sure to use a variety of different teaching strategies in order to teach some of the major components of literacy including fluency, comprehension, writing and vocabulary. The strategies will also range between whole group, small group and individual activities for students.

Fluency is the ability to read a text accurately and with expression.
Some of the teaching strategies I plan to use in my classroom for fluency include: Coral Reading Paired or partner reading Readers Theater Comprehension is the ability for students to understand what they have read or what has been read to them. It is important for students to learn the proper writing and grammar skills in order to be great writers. Some of the writing skills and strategies I plan to use and teach in my classroom include: Writing Conferences Vocabulary refers to a list of words that an individual understands and uses. It is important for students to always expand their vocabulary in order to become better writers and speakers. It is also important for students to understand different vocabulary words in order for them to better comprehend what they read.
